With many legacy PlayStation titles unsupported on newer systems, the Vita can also act as a portable hub to play classic games and hidden gems on the go. While the handheld console was a commercial failure, there are a few hidden games that are well worth your time. After pressure from fans, Sony walked back their decision and decided to only close the PSP's online marketplace.
In 2021, Sony announced the close of their online stores for the PSP, PS Vita and Playstation 3. The successor to the Playstation Portable was largely seen as a failure, but there is still plenty of life left in Sony's touchscreen, dual-analog creation in addition to numerous underrated games.
Sony's PlayStation Vita was the company's second attempt at prying Nintendo's death grip from the handheld market.
